Event : Janmashtami Celebration
Date : 23-8-2019
India is the land of festivals. Many festivals are celebrated round the year. Among these Janmashtami is a special one. Since ages, the birth of Lord Krishna has been celebrated with much joy and pomp as Janmashtami. All over the country, devotees of Lord Krishna add a festive fervor to this event by offering sweets and other delicacies at temples, organizing the famous Dahi Handi events and family get-togethers.
Here at Saaransh Foundation the festival was celebrated on 23rd August with great enthusiasm. Students celebrated the day by taking part in pot decoration, flute decoration and ‘jhula’making activities. Students and teachers were dressed in the best of yellow and orange traditional dresses. The students also participated in the Dahi handi event, danced merrily to traditional songs and enjoyed the day to the fullest. The occasion was graced by the valuable presence of our honourable director Ms. Rani Chaudhary.
