Event : Navratri Celebration
Date : 29-09-19 to 7-10-19
Navaratri is celebrated in the month of “Ashwin” also called “Ankita” or “Aasin”, every year in India to mark the victory of Good over Bad, of Health over Sickness and of Goddess “Shakti” over the heinous monster “Mahishasura”.
People of Kolkata call it as Durga Puja whereas in Gujarat it is famously known as Navratri. Some people prefer keeping Fast (abstaining from all or some kind of food or drink as a religious observance) for the entire nine days whereas some enjoys dancing to the tunes of traditional folk songs during the days of celebration.
In Saaransh Foundation, our little angels celebrated it by doing “Garba” (a traditional dance form of Gujarat) with their friends and helped their teachers in making “Dandiya” on 4th of October 2019. They were also told about the importance of celebrating this festival and were shown various videos regarding the same.
