There was fun and frolic all around as Saaransh Foundation celebrated its first ever Children's Day on 15th November 2016. For the children, it was a full-day school, wherein they underwent their regular therapies as per their schedule but education was done through different activities related to Children's Day. The lessons of Language, Math, Expressive Art and Social Studies were conducted through classroom activities. As a part of the celebration the teachers made a child dressed up as 'Chacha' Nehru.
The children went to the ground and then to the garden of the school. While having a lot of fun and doing sports activities, they also learnt about Environmental Sciences. They met and greeted the Director and the Vice Principal of DPS Gandhinagar on the occasion of Children's Day.
Animal-shaped Belgian chocolates, French marshmallows along with fancy colour pens and mobile phone-shaped erasers were their Children's Day Gifts from their teachers.
The DPS Gandhinagar children who are part of Saaransh Foundation's Pull-out programme delivered a speech that they had prepared for this special occasion.
