Event : Republic Day Celebration(26th January,2020)
Date : 24.01.2020
Venue : Saaransh Foundation
The democratic nation India united to mark its 71st Republic Day on 26th January 2020 – a day of pride for all countrymen. While most of us associate this day with the grand Republic Day parade since years, the day is a lot more than just that. This is the day India formally adopted the constitution as the guiding document and became an independent republic. It is the day when monarchy was demolished from the country. On 26th January 1950, India was declared a sovereign, socialist, democratic republic and the constitution assured the citizens of India justice, equality and liberty. It gave us “Fundamental Rights” and freedom of speech.
At Saaransh Foundation, students were taught about the importance of this day in every Indian’s life. They were also told that while we celebrate this day with grandeur, we should also remember the struggle of the freedom fighters that had made this day possible. We should be grateful that our forefathers struggled hard and sacrificed their lives to earn independence for us. Today India is counted as one of the biggest republic countries, and this has been made possible because many decades back our leaders spent sleepless nights to draft and adopt a constitution. It is now our duty to take it forward and work towards making India a bigger and better country.
Our students celebrated the day by paying tribute to our great leaders and freedom fighters and by engaging themselves in different class activities. Class Pahchan students did flag painting on hand, made tricolor broach and decorated their class by making a big Indian flag using flowers. Whereas, students of class Tagore made a tricolor garland using craft papers.
