Event : World Heritage Week
Date : 19-11-19 till 25-11-19
Venue : Sabarmati Ashram
The World Heritage Week is celebrated from 19th November to 25th November, every year around the globe. The objective of the week, observed by UNESCO, is to make people aware of the rich heritage and also strive for its preservation. As we know that India is one of the many countries to have maximum number of heritage sites and monuments, it becomes highly necessary for us to show and teach our next generation the history and importance of each and every monument.
Our students at Saaransh Foundation had an amazing experience visiting one of the most important historical monuments that exists in India, “Sabarmati Ashram”, during the World Heritage Week on 22nd November 2019. They were told about the reason behind the “Ashram” being a heritage site and were also taught why it is necessary to preserve it. All the children felt proud of having such a heritage site of historical importance and had fun exploring each and every corner of it.
